Irene's Obituary
Irene Julia Wyszynski, 81, of South Haven died Thursday, July 15 at her home.
She was born October 22, 1928 in Necedah, Wisconsin to Vincent and Mary (Swierkosz) Dudziak. Irene married Phil W. Wyszynski on November 10, 1951. Irene worked for Scott Aviation. She was a member of St. Basil Catholic Church where she helped with funeral luncheons and set up the rummage sales, and was part of the the Alter Rosary Society. Irene was active at the Warren Center, she called Bingo every Tuesday. Irene was also a active member of the VFW Women’s Auxiliary and famous for her Swiss Steak Dinner. She enjoyed walking in town, helping her daughter with her business by running errands and spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. None of her family could get enough of her home made bread, paczki, and pierogies.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Phil W. Wyszynski who died in 1986, three sisters and four brothers.
She is survived by her children – Wayne Wyszynski and Sandy (Mike) Seroke both of South Haven, Michigan. Grandchildren – Christopher (fiancée Hollie Lamers) Heiser, Tayler Seroke, Sarah Wyszynski and Kayla Wyszynski. Two great-grandchilren – Tyler Sholes and Peyton Heiser.
Visitation will be from 2 - 5 on Sunday, July 18 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home with a Scripture Service at 4:30 P.M. Funeral services will be Monday at 11:00 A.M.at St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev. Father Robert Flickinger officiating. Memorial contributions can be made to St. Basil Building Fund.
