Mrs. Raak was loved by so many kids during her career. I remember her not only as a teacher, but also as a neighbor. She was an example for everyone to follow. She always had a smile and a hug to give to anyone who needed one. She will truly be missed by everyone she touched. To Tom, Jim and John, thank you for sharing your mom with all of us. We were blessed to have known her.

Dear Mr. Raak, Tom & Barb, Jim & Barb, and John & Criselda, I am saddened to learn of Mrs. Raak's passing. I didn't know she was ill as I have been living out of state for several years now. Mrs. Raak will always be an icon to me of integrity, hard work and compassion. I am blessed to have known her from the time I was at Anna Michen Elementary throughout middle school, high school and into adulthood. She was an amazingly strong woman who had great determination. Her impact is immeasurable and will endure for generations to come. This is her legacy. It is my prayer for all of you that God will hold you in the palm of His hand, as He ushers Mrs. Raak into the place of peace, and rest, He has prepared for her. With Love and Sincere Sympathy, Audrey

Through my friendship with Ed, I knew Ardith for nearly 40 years. During all those years she seemed never to change - always young and energetic, always warm and friendly. Though it might be a few years between times when we would see each other, she always had time to chat about "the boys" and catch up on how many grandchildren we each had. When Alice and I now drive past the farm market we will always think of the good friend we have lost. Our deepest condolences to our friend Ed and his family.

Hi Ed, I think it was God's hand that guided us to your Apple cider store a few months ago. We had no idea it was your place until I ask the girl who owned it. We are so comforted that we were able to recontact with a truly fantastic lady before she was to leave us. May we wish you and your family warm memories to fill the void she leaves this Christmas and through the New Year. Love, Bev & Dan

You know it's the good, bad, the ugly and the beautiful in one's life that makes and molds us to who we are. Ardie was the good and beautiful in mine. After losing my own mother 12 years ago, she became my Surrogate mother. I had known her for 15 years. Everyday we enjoyed our coffee breaks, solving all the worlds problems in a short 15 minutes. Now if they would only take counsel in our wise wisdom. She will be greatly missed by those she has touched. Thank-you Ardie. Love Mary

Dear Ed, My family was saddened to hear Ardith's battle is over. She was so beautiful and brave throughout her fight with this terrible disease. She never gave up hope. Every time I asked, "how are you all doing?".................Ed would answer "we are blessed". No Ed......we are blessed for having known your lovely wife. We will all miss her. Dear Ed and family, know that our thoughts and prayers are with you and the entire family. We feel so blessed to have known her; for her to have been a part of our lives, our children's teacher (one they speak of with highest regard) and our parent's lives. A wonderful neighbor, mentor, teacher and friend. She was an amazing woman.
