I worked for Bi-County Services in the late 80's and early 90's and knew Mary Lou very well. I was the social worker for the SLIP program that she was in charge of. We had a wonderful working relationship and a wonderful friendship. We got to know each other very well often talked about our children and our families. She was a compassionate caring person and always looked out for the best interest of our clients. We had some very good times together, she had such a good sense of humor and was so much fun to be around. I still have a ceramic pig that she gave me as a present his name is Horace and everytime he gets knocked off my shelf I think of Mary Lou. Children in my family often ask where I got that pig and I always say from a good friend! She will be remembered fondly by me and many others. Sincerely Jodi Mendenhall-Jeffers

Jenny, Mary, & Brad: I am deeply sorry to hear about your Mom. She played a big part in my early years and even now (just a FEW years later), memories of her (and possum) bring a smile to my face... Thinking of you all...

Jenny, Mary and Brad, So sorry to hear about your Mom. I knew she had not been well for awhile now, so she is in a much better place. Hopefully her and my mom are up there enjoying nothing but happiness not having to worry about all of us and our issues. God knows we troubled them with lots of "issues". Take care and talk to you soon Jenny. Love ya...

My deepest sympathy to each of you. Mary Lou and I worked in the same end of the building at Bi-County and got to know each other quite well, I always enjoyed our conversations and missed her when she retired. I have a small piece of stained glass that she gave me when she left and I look at it from time to time and remember some of our conversations and have to laugh at some of them, you never knew what she might say. She was a delightful person.

Your mom was my friend, She was a nut and I loved her. I know she will leave a hugh hole in your life. We had some lovely long days in the swimming pool floating around and solving the world's problems Whenever you get to missing her take a soothing shower the water washes the tears away and your hair and skin look great. Love Karen
