Everett Winfield Harrison

Everett Winfield Harrison, age 85, beloved husband of Ruth Harrison (Jacques), father of Barbara and Dr. Robert Harrison, died peacefully at his home August 23, 2009.

Mr. Harrison was born in Roslin, Ontario, Canada, May 4, 1924 and was a 1945 business graduate of Queens University. He was Member of the Scottish Rite and was a long standing member of the Shriners. He was also a member of Hope Reformed Church of South Haven. Mr. Harrison was a resident of South Haven, MI., for the past 32 years. He was the owner and president of Controlled Rubber Products, Inc., of South Haven from 1976 to 1999.



He is survived by his wife Ruth Harrison of South Haven, Michigan, daughter Barbara Harrison of Grand Rapids, Michigan, son Dr. Robert (Susan) Harrison of Northbrooke, Illinois, sister, Mrs. Margaret Thompson and his brother, Dr. Keith Harrison, both of Ontario, Canada. He will be greatly missed by his family and step family, including his 10 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.



Visitation will be from 6 – 8 on Wednesday, August 26 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Thursday, at 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home with Rev. Harold F. Filbrandt officiating. Graveside services will take place at Woodlawn Cemetery in Grand Rapids, MI on Thursday at 2:45 PM. Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society, South Haven’s Hospice at Home or Shriners Hospital for Children.
