Eugene “Geno” F Dulik Sr., age 83, of South Haven Died Friday, May 01, 2009 at Countryside Nursing and Rehabilitation Community. He was born May 29, 1925 in New York, NY to John and Catherine (Yurick) Dulik. He married Rose Capaccio on November 8, 1952 in Chicago, Illinois. Geno worked at South Haven Public Schools for 17 years as a Custodian and a Bus Driver. Geno worked at South Haven Rubber Company from 1969 – 1979. He was a bridge tender for 21 years for the City of South Haven. Geno was very active in South Haven Community Sports as an umpire for baseball and softball and the first down crew. Geno was a life member of the VFW and the American Legion. He also was a member of the South Haven Moose Lodge. Geno also an author of poems.

He was preceded in death by his wife Rose who died May 8, 2008.

He is survived by his three sons, Eugene F. (Linda) Dulik Jr., of North Port, FL., John A Dulik of South Haven and Paul A. (Kieran) Dulik of Kouts, IN.; two daughters, Barb A. Hulsey of Searcy, Ark., and Georgia J. Boyd of South Haven, MI., eight grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter, three sister in laws Clair Capaccio, Rose Mary Capaccio, and Jennie Capaccio, brothers in law Nick Capaccio and Joe Capaccio. Many nieces and nephews also survive.

Visitation will be from 6 to 9 Monday, May 4, 2009at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at St. Basil Catholic Church with Rev.
