I'll let you eavesdrop on my conversation with God....from my lips to God's ears:

Gracious and Loving Lord,

My heart breaks for Patricia and her family as they face the loss of their precious husband and father, especially under these difficult circumstances. Oh, Lord, I can't even begin to imagine the range of emotions they will go through in the days ahead. I have an inkling Lord, but only an inkling. Grief is so different, so exclusive for each one of us, and this loss carries its' own set of additional heartaches. I say that I don't know exactly what they are going through, Lord, but You do know. You know because You created Patricia and You know her heart through and through. You know because You count the hairs on her head and number her days. You know because You allowed your own beloved Son to die for sins He didn't commit, out of love for me, and for those whose names I don't even know. There is often no justice in the world, Father, but there is mercy, and that mercy comes from You. In these moments, dearest Lord, I just ask that You cradle Patricia and her loving family in Your arms, and comfort her with the peace that only You can deliver. Where there can be no understanding, bring the assurance of Your mercy and grace. And Father, I pray for David, and Kathleen as they struggle with the heartache that they must feel as the children. Just be in this situation Lord, in any way that You are needed, for You alone know the extent of the need. I love you Father, and I ask all of this in Jesus name. Amen.
