Dear K.K. On August 25th, the day you left us, a part of my spirit went with you. I feel a deep hole in my heart, one I will have till the day I die. My life will never be the same without you, my very best friend. We have always had a special friendship. I admire so much about you, your knowledge, your feisty opinions, the way you loved my family, the generosity of your spirit and the zest you had for all our family gatherings. You never came empty handed. No, there was always about five trips to your car to unload all your goodies. Tomatoes, dill, squash, beans, red skins, your special tomato juice that Paul so loves. The list of your bounty could fill three pages. You have always had a big heart. I will miss you K.K. Love Ann

Some of our favorite memories are recalled when John and Kathleen were gracious hosts for some of our deer hunting expeditions. We didn't get a deer but had a great time visiting and enjoying home cooked meals. And who can forget the delicious bar-B-qued goat brought by Kathleen to our family reunion. One of the nicest presents that we ever received was a beautiful springer spaniel that we enjoyed for many years with our nine kids. Kathleen made us so very happy with that gift. From our perspective, no one enjoyed life any more than Kathleen. She is one person who won't be forgotten. We feel fortunate that we were able to visit Kathleen during her stay at U of M hospital No more suffering and finally at peace Our condolences and love to John, Corona and all the Ruppes..

If We Could Bring You Back Again By Joanna Fuchs If we could bring you back again, For one more hour or day, We’d express all our unspoken love; We’d have countless things to say. If we could bring you back again, We’d say we treasured you, And that your presence in our lives Meant more than we ever knew. If we could bring you back again, To tell you what we should, You’d know how much we miss you now, And if we could, we would. Aunt Kathleen Thank you for Warm socks on the woodstove during cold autumn mornings, Homemade tomato soup, Happy fat turkey's and making Zach's life richer for knowing you Joanie ps please put in a good word for Obama

Dear John and Corona, What a shock to hear of Kathleen's passing. We have such great memories of shared Thanksgivings and wine tastings when our children were young. Kathleen surely was a passionate, loving, and vital woman. It was always exciting to talk with her about literature, politics, music, gardening,or any topic that captured her interest. We will see you Saturday.
