Meyer's Obituary

Judge Meyer Warshawsky, age 84, of South Haven, died Saturday, August 19, 2006 at his residence. He was born March 23, 1922 to Louis and Goldie (Sipperstein) Warshawsky in Chicago, Illinois. He served his country as a Captain in the Marine Corps in WWII. Meyer worked in the Van Buren County Judicial System for over 40 years, where he was Prosecutor, Van Buren County Probate Prosecutor and then a Circuit Court Judge in Van Buren County for over 20 years.

He is preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers-Martin Warshawsky who died in 1945 and Abe Warshawsky who died in 1987.

He is survived by his wife Esther Warshawsky of South Haven, MI., one daughter-Lois (Marc) Shulman of West Bloomfield, MI., and one son-Paul W. (Ilene) Warshawsky of Northfield, Illinois, 6 grandchildren, one brother-Hyman (Shelly) Warshawsky of South Haven, MI., and a sister in law-Bernice Warshawsky of South Haven, MI.

A graveside services will be held on Sunday, August 20, 2006 at 11:00 A.M. at the First Hebrew Congregation Cemetery with Mr. Lou Price officiating.
