Jacquline Sumners

Jacquline Sumners, age 57, of South Haven, died Thursday, May 11, 2006 at her residence. She was born December 18, 1948 in West Plains, Missouri to Lester and Opal (Williams) Bowen. She married District Elder James Sumners February 18, 1967 in Hartford, Michigan. Jacquline worked as a Nurse Educator at Lakeland Hospital for the past 15 years. Jacquline was the First Lady at the Faith of the Apostles Church in Hartford, Michigan.

She is preceded in death by her father, Lester Bowen.

She is survived by her husband James Sumners of South Haven, MI., one son-Jim (Denise) Sumners Jr. of South Haven, MI., one daughter-Michelle Sumners of South Haven, MI, Four grandchildren-Bryan Russell, Matthew Russell, Jamen Sumners, Jaren Sumners. Her mother – Opal Wilson of Harrison, Arkansas. Two brothers-Marra (Cleta) Bowen, Billy (Becky) Bowen, Four sisters-Barbara (Richard) Lamb, Sharon (Jerry) Teeters, Ann (Ronnie) Osborne, Alice (Bill) Neal. In addition, five step-brothers and three half brothers, one half sister. A special expression of love to stepbrother Joe Belt.

Visitation will be Sunday, May 14, 2006 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Visitation will also be Monday, May 15, 2006 from 6:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Faith of the Apostles Church in Hartford with a memorial service at 7:30 p.m... Funeral services will be Tuesday, May 16, 2006 at 11:00 a.m. at the church. Burial will take place at Stephenson Cemetery. Memorial contributions can be made to the Building Fund at the Faith of the Apostles Church.
