Dear Sumners Family, I knew Jackie thru work. She was always kind and caring to everyone. She did an excellent job training the new NA's and NT's. She would give my manager and I a "heads-up" on who the really good NAs and NTs were in her classes, so we could contact them for hire on our unit. Jackie shared her feelings and concerns about her illness with me on a couple of occasions. She knew she was in my thoughts & prayers. The faith & courage she displayed, will forever be an inspiration to me. Be comforted in knowing that we will see her, again, and there will be no tears or sorrow. A friend and co-worker, Kathy

Jim, My memories of special times we spent together with you and Jackie bring me comfort. I remember all the times we spent the night at each others house with kids in tow. We were young and trying to raise our families. We would play games, try out our newest receipes, go snowmobiling on the edge of the farmers fields, and pig out on lots of food.We kept a long distance relationship after I moved to the UP.When you went on vacation to Pike Lake; we came to see you.Its not often that a friendship can last a lifetime even though the miles have streached between us.I hope your cherished memories with Jackie bring you comfort in your sorrow and peace to your heart. Sincere condolences. Just, Linda Livingston/Smykowski

Jim, Lil' Jim and Michele and family: I know you are all hurting at the loss of your spouse, and your mother and mother-in-law and grandmother. She is and was a wonderful person. She cut no slack and allowed no mistakes. She was very highly thought of in the family and according to the speeches at the memorial and funeral, in the church either. We will miss her and will wait the day to see her again. Michele, I know what she was taking about at the hospital when she asked if we knew the difference between "Truth and Fact"!. WHAT PERSON!. Always thinking of others.

It's been almost 8 years and I think about Jackie and what an impact she has had on my life. Jim, Michele, and Jimmy as well as all her Grand babies were her joy but her biggest joy was the Lord Jesus. I can still see and hear her praising God and I am comforted in knowing she has made it. I know we all miss her but will see her in Heaven praising and singing some day.
