I loved you like a sister dear lady. It's comforting to know you're with Jesus and I'll be seeing you again before we know it.

Betty and my mom (Flo) were much more than just good friends... they thought of each other as sisters, as Betty lived with the family while Mom was growing up. Consequently, she was always Aunt Betty to me. She was also one of the most gracious people I have ever known. I will forever cherish all the fun times we enjoyed together - usually over good food - as well as the gorgeous blue afghan she crocheted for us as a wedding present, which we still use. I love you and miss you, Aunt Betty!

Betty - what a dear and kind soul. I'm so glad she was a part of our lives growing up, and all through my life. My mom (Flo Baker Fluty) enjoyed her visits with Betty - shopping and such, and as my brother Leward said, we enjoyed a yearly visit with Betty (before she moved to FL) with lunch at The Black Swan. I loved to hear Betty laugh, and tell the stories of her life. I'll miss her, but know she is eternally happy and enjoying walking without a cane!

I was very sorry to hear of Betty Passing away. I worked at the telephone Co. while Betty was still there. I remember her kindness to the "new kid" at work . And her showing me the little "shortcuts" to filling out our tickets from the calls we took. She will be missed and remembered in my prayers.

I met Betty in June of 1957 visiting my 1st cousin Don and aunt and uncle, Agnes and Charles Brenner. My wife Jean and I, brother Carl, son and three grandchildren spent many summers with Betty going to the beach and the Blueberry Festival. My sisters Doris Wood, Celeste Nicholson Jean and I considered Betty our first Cousin. The Weast family, my son Jeff, grandchildren Bethany, Jeffrey and Ryan extend our heartfelt condolences. Betty and Bethany had a particularly close bond. We will all miss her.

I met Betty as a young girl on my families summer trips to see Uncle Donald in South Haven. While Donald was really my second cousin I thought of him as an Uncle and Betty as an Aunt. Betty was an operator for the phone company at the time and I remember using the phone on several occasions trying to get Betty as the operator. For as long as I can remember Betty has alway been part of the Weast family. On my last visit to South Haven in the summer of 2001 Betty asked to join me in part of my morning walk. Betty walked with me from the cottage all the way to Blue Star Highway where we stopped at Cousins Restaurant to have a cup of tea and some toast. We then walked back to the cottages. Betty walked with me most everyday for 5 weeks. We then made the trip from South Haven to Lake of the Ozarks where I spent another week with her and Donald. We were watching the morning shows together on September 11th 2001 when the Trade Centers fell. In 2007 Betty was able to attend our son's wedding in Tampa Florida and enjoy the festivities. I have so many other fond memories of Betty along with two afghans that she made for me that I use daily. What a wonderful person who I never heard say anything negative. She will be missed. Rest in Peace Betty and enjoy your reunion with Donald and all your o her loved ones.
