LaVerne's Obituary
LaVerne Bell of Buffalo Grove, IL, died December 12, 2013 in South Haven, MI with her children at her bedside. LaVerne celebrated her 80th birthday on Nov. 21, 2013. LaVerne was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother and great-grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Ben and Dorothy (Feinstein) Bell, sister Rochelle Bell-Milano and ex-husband, Allen Taradash.
LaVerne is survived by her children, Denese Jacoby-Diamond (Jerry Diamond), Michele (Mark) Halperin, Bambi Jacoby (Joel Schechter), Roni Taradash & Rory Taradash, her grandchildren, Brandee (Anthony) Fontanini & Ian Roth, Beri Cohen, Mardi & Joey Halperin, Bryan, Scott & Heather Rosenberg, & Ari Julian Joseph, & her great-grandchildren, Noam, Noi & Ahava Cohen.
Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Sunday, December 15 with Rabbi Mordechai Haller officiating at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven, MI. Laverne will be laid to rest at the First Hebrew Congregation Cemetery in South Haven, MI. Shiva will follow at the home of Rory Taradash, 205 Oak St., South Haven, MI. Shiva will continue on Monday, December 16,from 3:00 - 9:00 PM in the recreation room of the Halperins’ residence, Optima Building 9655 Woods Drive, Skokie, IL (Please use guest parking only).
