Mary's Obituary

Mary Kathryn Lundy, 94, of South Haven, Michigan, passed away Sunday, August 31, 2014 at the River Ridge Retirement Community. She was born November 7, 1919 to Aubrey and Elizabeth (Harold) Brady in South Haven, Michigan. Mary was a 1937 South Haven high school graduate and went on to attend the South Bend College of Commerce for a year. On December 19, 1942 she married Clarence Lundy in Ypsilanti, Michigan. Mary and her husband Clarence owned and operated Lundy Electric for thirty years in South Haven. Mary was active in her community as a member of a book club, and a member of the Church of the Epiphany's Altar Guild. She also enjoyed golfing in the Women's Group at the South Haven Country Club.

Mary is preceded in death along with her parents by her husband – Clarence Lundy, sister – Margaret Teske, and brother – Sam Brady.

She is survived by her children - Ray (Amy Zapal) Lundy of South Haven, MI, Jane (Jeffrey) Puvogel of ­­­­Vicksburg, and Kathryn Lundy of Greenville, SC; five grandchildren - Jill (David) Adamski, Jenny (Gregg) Baustian, Kelly (Joaquin) Romero, Claire and Thomas Lundy; six great grandchildren – Haley, Kelsey, Jeffrey, Maria, Eva, and Sam;  brother - George Brady of Auburn, IN. Several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, September 6, 2014 at the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church with The Rev. Michael Ryan officiating. Mary will be laid to rest at the Church of the Epiphany Memorial Garden. Contributions may be made to the Church of the Epiphany Episcopal Church or South Haven’s Hospice at Home.
