Charles's Obituary
Charles "Chuck" P. Jensen, 85, of South Haven, MI, passed away Friday, September19, 2014 at his home. He was born on August 20, 1929 to Chris and Clyda (Hackworth) Jensen in Muskegon, Michigan. He graduated from South Haven High School 1947. Chuck served his country in the US Army during Korean War. Chuck was a commercial fishermen, his boat was the "Elsie J" and he owned Jensen's Fishery until his retirement in 1988. He loved spending time at the docks and was a good craftsman in wood and steel.
He is preceded in death by his parents and his wife, Donna Jensen.
He is survived by his two sons, Robert (Kathy) Jensen of South Haven, MI and Karl Jensen of South Haven, MI, and his sister - Elsie Hamman of Phoenixville, PA. Several nieces, nephews and cousins also survive.
Visitation will be Tuesday, Sept. 23, from 6:00 to 8:00 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home in South Haven. The funeral service will be Wednesday, Sept. 24, at 11:00 AM at the funeral home. Friends wishing to make a memorial contribution can do so to the Al-Van Humane Society, Michigan Maritime Museum, or Historical Association of South Haven.
