Bob & Karl..
Your dad was such a wonderful man.. I just loved him , I loved visiting and spending time with him and your mom.. He always had a smile to share and jokes to crack .. They were both good to Kassi and my self . I will hold the memories I have of them close to my heart as I know you both will too.. I know your hearts are aching now but I know your dad is happy to be with Donna again.. They so loved each other.. So for that I am happy they are back together.. I pray for you both . And every time I see the Elsie J I will know he is still around all of us.. He will always live there at the docks and in that boat.. Love to both of you... Rhonda..

Ellen and I are sorry for your loss. While we did not know Chuck long, its easy to know a good man, forthright and thoughtful. He was kind to us from our first meeting, with a gentle grace and a genuine interest in others. We appreciated knowing him. Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family.

Bob and Family:
Lyn and I are so sad to hear of Chucks Passing. Althought we know he had a great life with family and friends and he is now shaking the dice with Ray and telling more war stories in Heaven. He will be greatly missed by us and his friends. His smile will always be in our hearts.

Kathy, Bob, & Karl,
What a kind man your Father was. I always loved the amazing stories that he and his buddies would share when they all spent time down at the docks. I grin thinking of them all laughing so hard as they watched the old TV they rigged up in front of the shed so they could watch Victor Borge movies....or the time Chuck wore white patent leather shoes and a new shirt for my Birthday party when my boat was there. Every time he left the docks to go home you could hear his faithful dog bark all the way through town in the back of the truck.
Anyway, He loved each of you, and He adored his wife. I am certain it meant so much to him that you took such good care of him these past few years, and especially Nurse Kathy...:) He will be missed.

Chuck played a large part in my life when I lived in South Haven from 1990 to 1997. I met him at Captain Nemo's every morning when he came in to either have breakfast or drink coffee with "the guys". He was funny and gentle and very kind. I rented the upstairs of the net shed during that time and had an artist studio there. I shared the space with the South Haven High School art teacher, Lisa Rostar. We had a couple art shows there and people came from everywhere! Chuck enjoyed life and the people who were boaters at his docks and the folks who showed up at his workshop. He loved his Elsie J and gave me a fascinating tour of the fish tug...complete with it's history and his
memories as a commercial fisherman. There also was a dock cat.....a three toed cat that had made it's home on the Elsie J and had given birth to kittens. The stories of Chuck are many. I loved him. What a kind and loving man. I will miss him.

To the Jensen family: Chuck was a direct link to the days when commercial fishing was a part of South Haven's daily experience and his presence always enriched the town. I have fond childhood memories of him at Jensen's Fishery when I would visit there with my dad. Please accept my sincere condolences on Chuck's passing.
