Goodbye Eleanore...one of my all time favorite people. Many of Eleanore's words of wisdom come to me on so many occasions. She was one of the first liberals I knew. So sorry for your loss Laura and family.

We are thinking of you all, especially my Harry cousins. My father's generation is nearly gone. I have so many wonderful memories of times at the farm. They were some of the best times of my childhood. The Rice sisters were so good to my mother and they were all the very definition of strong women. Their generation created the America we used to be so proud of. I am proud to be her niece.

I very much admired Eleanore for her progressive views, her commitment to mission, and her activities with United Methodist Women. When she told me her views on the California Grape Boycott and the formation of United Farm Workers, I knew I had met a like-minded woman. She surely left her mark on the world.

To the Harry family.
What a wonderful woman and teacher Eleanore was ( is). The many classes I sat through were never your typical English class. Some very great lifelong lessons I learned and still live by. She will be missed by all. May you find peace. J

I learned today, a little late, that a a dear friend and former neighbor has made it to her final home in heaven. Eleanore was such an inspiration and a woman to not only look up to, but to love. She and Pete were wonderful neighbors as I grew up across the street from them. Much love and happy memories are here. My condolences to the whole family.

Laura and Rich, So sorry to hear about the loss of your mother. What a wonderful Lady. She will be missed. We are in Arizona and will not be back until late April or early May. Will stop by when we get home to discuss mowing. Thank you for the tomato's when I was home in late September for my class reunion. Have a great safe and joyous holiday season.
