Sheryl's Obituary
Sheryl Kim Lynch, 50, of South Haven, passed away Friday, September 26, 2014 under the comforting care of the Hanson Hospice Center in Stevensville, MI. Kim was born July 19, 1964 to parents Marlene (Goldberg) Lynch and John Lynch in St. Joseph, Michigan. She was a 1982 South Haven graduate and went on to earn her associates degree from Lake Michigan College. Kim worked for many years at her family’s store, Evergreen Lawn and Garden Center in South Haven and for the past six years was an administrative assistant for the State of Michigan DNR at the Van Buren State Park. Kim was also an online editor and contributor to a self-help website dispensing information. Kim loved working at the State Park and was an avid collector of antiques and books.
Kim was preceded in death by her parents and leaves to mourn her loving spirit, her brother Barry (Marsha) Fields, niece Senice (Douglas) Ransom, nephews Nathaniel (Sommer) and Raymond Fields, and great-nieces and nephews, Julian Fields, Romy Ransom, Ashton Fields, Sasha ransom, Korbin Fields, and Brennen Fields; her “adopted parents” Oscar and Wanda Bergstrom, relatives Thelma Cooper, George Shaver, Carol Ann Shaver, Carline Shaver, Edward Shaver, and wonderful close and loving friend Teresa Griffin.
A visitation is planned for Wednesday, October 1, 2014 at 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home of South Haven. Graveside services will follow visitation at 1:00PM at the First Hebrew Congregation Cemetery in South Haven with Mr. Lou Price officiating. Memorials can be made to Hospice at Home, 050550 Blue Star Highway, South Haven or to the American Cancer Society.
