My family is very sorry to learn of Helen's passing. I do remember her and she was a very nice lady. It saddens me to know she lived so close to me and I never took the time to look her up and visit. Prayers and comfort to all family members during this time.

Bless the family. There won't be anyone like
Helen ever again. My first friend in Michigan
and I miss her. A very special lady.

Fell in love with Helen when I was 6. Still in love with her today. We had plans. Huge void now.

Helen was my best friend all through elementary school. We went to different high schools and didn't see as much of each other after that. I moved to the West coast when I was 16, but we always kept in touch. Sometimes years would pass before one of us would call the other. We always laughed about how we could just pick up where we'd left off and how the other one hadn't changed a bit.
When my uncle died, we crossed the state from East to West to visit my sister in Wisconsin. I called her the night before we headed across because I wanted to say hello in person. We were going to find lodging somewhere, but she insisted that Mom, my daughter and I spend the night... no ifs ands or buts. It didn't matter that she had no prior notice, we were staying with her. She and I slept together just like we always did when we spent the night at each other's house and chatted into the wee hours. I felt like I was a kid on an overnight with my best friend. It was a short, but happy visit.
I'll always remember you, Helen! See you on the other side.
