Patti, I am so saddened to read of this. Even when we're ready and expecting the news, we're never quite ready. My heart aches for you, but I know you will go on in his memory. Peace, my old friend. <3

Thom, I somehow feel blessed to have met you just once so many years ago.
You were very soft spoken, patient and kind. You had a very gentle spirit. I remember this very well.
I wish you great peace on your journey.

Dear Patti, We are so sad to hear about Tom's passing. Our memories of him are of a wonderful neighbor with a dry, witty sense of humor. And walking his beloved dog, Sam, of course. He is very much missed in the neighborhood and in our lives. Our deepest sympathy, Grace and Tony

I wanted to offer my message of condolence to you and your family on Toms death. He was the first person I met when we moved in across the street on Duncan Lake in 2005 and left an impression on me that will not be forgotten. A true gentleman in every sense of the word, kind, soft spoken and witty. I will remember him until I join him conversing from the lawn tractor seats again.
Cordially,
Larry Newman

I want to say how sorry I was to read of the passing away of Tom. Tom was one of my first managers at Old Kent Bank back in 1976 at the Roosevelt Park office. I loved working for Tom - he was fun, fair, and I learned a ton from him early in my career with the bank. I think I only saw him once or twice after I left the bank in 1983 when we moved to Dallas - but periodically I would ask about him when I'd run into other former employees and usually would get some type of an update that he was doing well. I'm sure he will be greatly missed by his friends and family. My sympathy to all of you in this loss.
