Betty's Obituary
Betty Louise Brewington, 80, of South Haven, Michigan, went to be with her Lord and Savior on June 19, 2015 at Bronson Medical Center in Kalamazoo. Betty was born in Marion, Indiana on May 2, 1935 and lived there until relocating to Lexington, KY, then moving to Michigan in 1957.
Betty married James Howard Brewington on September 5, 1964 and was loyal and loving to him till he passed away in 2007. They were best friends and did everything together including watch racing, fishing, bingo and church. Betty taught the value of family & friends sticking together through thick and thin and loving those around her no matter of race, color or creed. A person could not walk into her home without getting fed and feeling loved. God's love truly shined through her in all that she did.
Betty was also preceded in death by brother Burl Gene Morris.
Betty is survived by 4 children, Carol (Duane) Rowlson, Wyoming, MI, Steve Malone, Lebanon, TN, Ronnie (Janean) Brewington, Green Bay, WI & Darrell Brewington, Suttons Bay, MI; Two sisters, Aileen Crabtree, Holland MI and Pearl Privett of Bangor MI. also survive; nine grandchildren and ten great grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Filbrandt Funeral Home in South Haven on Wednesday, June 24, 2015 with pastor Tony Kuenzli officiating. Visitation will be held from 11 AM -1 PM. and funeral services following at 1 PM. Betty will be laid to rest at the McDowell Cemetery in Casco Township. Memorial contributions can be made to the family, 1076 S. Bailey Avenue, South Haven, Michigan 49090.
