I worked at SH Produce for Ron for two summers when I was 15 and 16. I travelled to the Chicago market to load the truck while Ron purchased produce. The trips were quite the adventure for a young man. The stops on the way back at Dimaggios and Tommy's Drive in were my favorites. Ron let me drive the semi a couple of times. What a thrill! He was kind, generous, fun loving and a larger than life sort of guy. He was my mentor and friend. I looked up to him with great admiration. Still do. I think of those days fondly and Ron is always at the center of those memories. I wish I would have thanked him later in life for the guidance he gave a struggling teenager. Condolences to Marietta and family. RIP Ron!

Dear Kozlik Family,

I am so sorry for your loss. I know few words can comfort you during this time of loss and grief, but know people out here are thinking of you.

I will never forget taking a class with Marietta. We went to Canada to the Shakespeare Festival. Which we saw "As You Like It", featuring Maggie Smith. Marietta explained to me that she tried to never change her eyeglasses frames, because she wanted her husband to see her as the young woman he fell in love with. I think that was a beautiful story.

Dear Kozlik family,
Our deepest sympathy goes out to all of you at this sad time.
We lived across the street from the Kozliks when I was a teenager. When I was old enough I went to work for Ron and Frank at South Haven Produce. It was a fun job delivering produce to all of the resorts in town. Ron loaned me money for my first car, a 1955 Chevy for $110, and he would deduct a little amount from each paycheck. He was an inspiration and a wonderful person. I have very fond memories of him and all the Kozlik family.
