I can't imagine a better privilege than getting to know your Phyllis. From her humor, her way of using words to express thoughts, to her genuinely kind soul, I have always felt she was one of the "special" people that made me a better person just because I was her friend. I can't imagine not sharing another meeting or hug with her and so part of me pretends this whole thing is just not real. My thoughts are with all of you.

I have very fond memories from childhood when spending afternoons with the Rodenhouse family! Phyllis was such a burst of energy when on my AAUW board in the 80's & 90's. She always had innovative ideas and could hardly wait to implement them. Phyllis will be missed. God's blessings to the entire family, Kathy & Chuck

Sue, it's been a few decades since I've seen you (4 maybe??!). I did want to send my deepest condolences to you and your family on the loss of your mom. Moms are so dear to heart and we lose a piece of heart when they leave us. My mom died 6 1/2 years ago and I still miss her so much. May the Lord hold you tight in His arms and give you comfort and strength as you go through this difficult time. My heart and prayers are with you all. Mary

Dear Friends and Family, Words may not suffice the loss we feel with sudden passing of Phyllis. We had a special time together at our recent holiday luncheon. The strong heart and sharp mind of our fellow SH Garden Club member will long fill our memories. For us, Phyllis was a vibrant spark that will be missed. Please accept our heartfelt sympathy. I remember Phyllis from AAUW. She was such an active woman in the community. We always had fun, and did lots of work at the book sales. She has lived a very full life. She will be remembered fondly by many friends and her family. I'm sending prayers and condolences to her family members and many friends. Heaven has gained another angel. Rest in peace Mrs. Rodenhouse.

What a special lady! She loved Jesus and was an example to all of His love & grace. She & your dad shared with us their love for staying active even in the later years of life. They left a wonderful legacy. We are all blessed to have known them.

My condolences to my childhood friend, Jane, and her sisters and brother. Mrs. Rodenhouse was always very kind and generous to me. I was privileged to be included in some family trips to Silver Lake, as well as spending hours playing at the Rodenhouse home on Wilson Street. And I fondly remember "tea time." A warm, loving family.
