Susan's Obituary
Susan Peoples, 61, of Covert, went home to be with the Lord on Wednesday, January 13, 2016 from the Hospice of the Valley Lund Home in Gilbert, Arizona. She was born November 8, 1954 to Harold and Jean Elizabeth (Bloodworth) Peoples in South Haven. Susan graduated from Covert Public Schools in 1973. She went on to earn her Bachelor’s Degree from Eastern Michigan University and Master’s Degree from Michigan State University both in education. Susan was an elementary school teacher for South Haven Public Schools before her retirement in 2010.
She is preceded in death along with her parents by her brother – Harry Peoples who passed in 1991.
Susan is survived by her sister – Harriet Hunter of Coolidge, Arizona, nephew – Deon Hunter and nieces – Tausha Hunter and Katara Lowery. Many friends and former students also survive.
Wake will be held from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 23, 2016 at the Filbrandt Family Funeral Home. Funeral services will follow the wake at 1:00 p.m. at the funeral home with Pastor Simon Harrington officiating.
