Shirley's Memory Wall
We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Shirley here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
John, Anita and Karen I wish to express my sincere sympathy in the death of your mother. Our thoughts and our prayers are with all of you and your family members. Aunt Shirley was a very special lady. I admired her so much. I know how difficult it is to go to college while trying to raise a family. I always remember her as having a ready smile and laughter. Bill and I will make a contribution to the scholarship that is being set up in her honor which I am sure she would be happy about. My love to all of you Eileen

Dear Eileen and Bill, Thank you very much for your thoughts and prayers. We all agree with you...Mom was a very special lady and wonderful mother. Although she had Alzheimer's disease, she still had her sense of humor and bright smile. She was always happy to be with her family and friends and made many new friends in Wyoming where she lived since December, 2014. Mom took some enrichment "fun" classes at Casper College in 2015. I know she would be happy to know that a deserving student nurse will receive a scholarship in her honor. Thank you and Bill very much for your generous gift to the Nursing Scholarship in Mom's name. We all appreciate your sympathy, your thoughtfulness and your help in keeping Mom's memory alive. With love, Karen

Dear Mike, Tippy, William and Michael, Thank you, Mom would be proud to know she was your favorite aunt. She was a remarkable lady, that is for sure. And thank you so much for contributing to the Nursing Scholarship in her name. I know she would be honored by such a remembrance. The scholarship will go to a single mother with children. It has been 57 years since Mom was in that situation when your Uncle Jack died. She is beside our Dad now. With love, Karen
