So sad to hear that Pastor Hennig's earthly life is over, but we all know that he is in Heaven and pain free. Saying prayers for all of his love ones here on earth that miss him to be happy that Dick is in comfort now. I feel comfortable referring to him as Dick for I met him working with him at Martin Lutheran Nursing Home just a few years ago.lol.

It is a sad loss to those that knew your husband, father, brother, friend. He was an inspiration to all those that had the honor of knowing him. His faith was shared not just through his words but through his actions as well. May you find comfort in the knowledge that he is now with his Father and that someday you will see him again.

Work definitely won't be the same without Richard's smile, humor, and positive outlook on life. I'll miss our talks about family, faith, and life, as well as harassing him about his diet :) It was an honor to know him and he will be greatly missed...our loss, heavens gain.

When I think of Pastor I have many fond memories. When Donnie and I went to counseling before marriage, with him he'd always say stop and get me a candy bar on the way. I miss him but I am thankful to have learned so much from him. I will carry him in my heart forever!

So sorry to hear about my classmate passing, I know that he is a much happier place than here, but still sorry. Class will miss seeing him at the 60 year reunion in October. Blessings for his family who are in such deep sorrow right now and may Dick rest in peace and joy.

Dear Anita, Very sorry to hear that Pastor Dick has passed away. Over the years we had many meetings, always beginning with where the fish were biting (and on what) and how our last hunting adventure went. Even though I am from the "other side of the fence" in terms of Lutheran synods, we developed a close professional and personal relationship of respect and much joy. He will most certainly be missed by all who knew him. I pray you find comfort in knowing he is in the welcome arms of Jesus.

Anita, God's blessings to you and all of the family. You do not have to be reminded what a wonderful person he was. He was our Pastor, friend, Glen's partner and hunting pal. But most of all he was the guide and comforter to us in our faith. Love to all of you.
