To the family....I am so sorry for your loss. Melvin was the sweetest-nicest person. He always had a smile on his face that would light up the sky. So glad I had the opportunity to know him. He was a great friend to me and my family. He will be missed. Rest in Heaven my friend.

Mel has always been a friend of the family, since i can remember. He would come over to play basketball with my dad, my uncles and their friends back in the '80s when everyone wore cut off jeans lol. A few years back, he told me that my dad is one of his best friends. When my dad told me on the phone the other day that Mel had passed, all i could think about was how respectable, nice and sweet of a man he always was, that had a genuine smile everytime we seen him. He will be missed.
