Mother Evans home was a safe place while my mother was at work. She taught my brother Duane how to cook a pound cake. Mother Evans also taught us the word of God and live the life before us. She was a kind and gentle woman. A hard working woman who never complained. Praying for my childhood friends Ricky, Keith, Jackie, and Dyke. Mother may be gone in body but always remembered in the spirit. "To be absent from this body but now present with the Lord."

May May; my dearest God-mother. She opened her home, heart and family to me when I was very young. She made her family, my family. She was a very sweet and kind woman. She has touched the lives of many and will be missed dearly. Rest well.

A mother to all who knew her. This dear lady was beloved and a close friend of my mother - Gertrude Cunningham. She walked the talk of Christianity, leaving no doubt who she served and dedicated her life to, which is a true rarity. May she rest in a blessed peace - well earned and awaited for in patience. A true warrior for Christ has gone home, yet her boys are living legacies to this sweet lady's memory, efforts and life. Rest in Christ gentle lady until we meet again on that great day.
