I got to know Rose the last five years of her life. What a lady! I loved hearing her stories about "Flash", and about working in Chicago. I could tell how deeply she loved her nieces and nephews and how good they all were to her. I was especially touched when attending her 96th birthday celebration at Cousins and seeing the love the whole family had for her. A wonderful woman of faith who lived a wonderful life. I will miss her deeply.

A genuine hero of my youth, Rose was a woman I looked up to and admired for her beliefs and kindness - she truly led by example and enriched the lives of all of us around her. I'll miss you, Aunt Rose.

Aunt Rose was the last of her generation of our family. Losing her is a great loss. She has always helped everyone else. We are so blessed to have had her so long in our lives. Her family tree has been a monumental endeavor to show us our past generations. She has been the glue that holds us together. Thank-you Aunt Rose for all you did for us!

Aunt Rose was loved by her cousin, Jim Carroll, (my late father). As I understand it, Jim grew up with her and her wonderful family that took him in when he was quite young. He spoke fondly of her all his life. The Carroll family is greatful to her for the positive influence she had in our father’s life. May God bless her and welcome her in heaven.
