Jim, Larry, Mike, Juanita, and family, So very sorry for your loss. Johnny was a big part of my life growing up, out here on the farm, when you all lived and worked here! Johnny taught me Spanish and he was always so kind. We all thought a lot of him for his hard work, kindness, and his love of the Lord and life in general. No matter what, John always saw the good in life! He will be missed by all who knew him. Keeping you all in our prayers! Love to all, and may God Bless your family. Blanche and Elaine Ruell

To one of the finest Christian men, I've ever met. He positively influenced me from such a young age. Always smiling, never talking bad about anyone, never on a mission of hate or harm. He always seemed to be connected to God and willing to share hope, love and kindness. I was blessed to grow-up around him and his kids. There was always drama, but Brother Johnny always seemed to have it under control - through Christ. His favorite saying was when one of his young kids did something silly in church. He would give them a stern look and say in his PR accent, "I will knocka you all the way to kalamazoo." I've traveled the world and sat with Presidents, but never met a better, more noble man as Brother Johnny. No doubt he is with God.

John kept going when others stopped. Building a church, at the beach with his family, eating his yellow rice and chicken, picking pears, cherries.....so many good memories. He lived his life for his family and savior. God Bless and comfort you all.

Johnny's firm hand on my shoulder and kind voice in my ear at 16 years old left a moment in my mind that I have never forgotten. We worked together at Betten Chevy-Olds. I thought I was so cool cussing like a sailor with other employees. Johnny & were chatting privately one afternoon, and I was cussing like a sailor talking to him. He placed his hand on my shoulder and said "young man, using such profane language only makes you sound like you have nothing more intelligent to say". Johnny was a great man. We had many educational moments after that, and I appreciated every one. Much love and prayers for God's blessings of peace and comfort for Johnny's loved-ones. Rest In Peace, my friend. See you again one day.

I remember as a child hearing Bro. Johnnie sing in church. He wasn't the best singer, but when he sang about entering the beautiful city and praising His Savior I knew it came from his heart. And now he has entered that beautiful city and is singing Holy, Holy, Holy to His Savior. Thanks for the great memories of worship and the example of devotion to God and family. Such a great impact on several people, and I am thankful and blessed I am one of them. All of you are in my prayers.
