John was such a kind and loving person to my grandson Jerome and myself. Always had a smile. Praying for you Louretta and the children that God will give you comfort during this time.

Dear Lauretta and the entire family. My heart and hugs go out to you. Johnnie touched many lives in a positive way but nobody more than his wife. I know their love was as deep and sincere as a soul can be. How wonderful a life to celebrate! Love to you, Kate

Louretta, I and my family are so sorry for you and your children’s loss. John sounds like a fabulous, Godsend of a man and I’m so happy you were blessed with his love. You and I have been friends since we were youngsters, running up to the park and playing and I’m so sorry I can’t be there with you today but please know you’re in my hearts and prayers. We’ll continue to pray for you and know I’ll be staying in touch as well. Virtual Hugs & Kisses-Cheryl McIntosh-Kern & Family

I grew up next four to Johnnie! He was always coming and going! He was always about business and God. He was very intelligent and had a sense of humor. He was always focused. He was always dressed up with his signature sideburns and pressed hair and don’t forget his hats! He was the stable one in the family always helping his mother Mae, who was like a 2nd mom to me and was also one of my mom’s best friends. Johnnie always preached the gospel not only with his words but with his character, love for family. His mom death was hard on everyone but Johnnie helped them all through it stepping up when other family didn’t! I wish I kept in touch! Heaven got a good man! Rest In Heaven Johnnie! Much love to you! I will be praying for your family!
