Marie always had a smile on her face. She was a friend to our family and was a close friend of my niece, Jina (Malbone) Grablick. I met Marie through my niece Jina. Jina use to teach at St. Basil Catholic School along with Marie. Marie was a Godmother to Jina’s children. I stayed in touch with Marie on Facebook and offered her encouragement during her fight with cancer. Your family has lost a special person and I’m sending prayers to her whole family❤️🙏

To the entire Mielke family we are so sorry for your loss. Marie was a very special person. I was fortunate enough to grow up with her, work with her and have her as our boy’s teacher. Please know our thoughts and prayers are with you all in this most difficult of times. 2 Timothy 4:7 I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. This is so true for Marie and her bravery during her illness, may we all continue to learn from her. May she rest in peace.

Marie- Everytime I was back in South Haven I was hoping to cross your path, and I was lucky enough to catch you once or twice. Thank you for being a kind and challenging 5th and 6th grade teacher. You had provided some excellent advice on serving and gradient language, and wanted to share how it's helped in the last year. I was hoping to catch up soon. Much love.

Marie shopped and donated at AlVan’s Rescued Treasures frequently to help the shelter animals. She also gladly volunteered to help at our Holiday Home Tour. She always seemed to want to help others in some way. She was brave and honest as she shared her cancer story. Marie was a caring person , her life well lived. Prayers for you all.

I'm so sorry to hear of Marie's passing. I use to babysit her, and the rest of her siblings, back in the day, and when I had my first born, she baby-sat for my son. Marie has always had a bubbly personality. My condolences to the Mielke family.

Marie was a loving person who never gave up on living. We had a long talk at the South Have Varsity Softball Legacy Day. She amazed me with her optimistic outlook. The community has lost an angelic soul.
