In honor of Douglas, Denny & Ruth Hettig lit a candle.
So sorry to the family for your loss!
Doug was very close to Denny when we first got married. Then we moved away and lost contact. But we will always remember him riding his motorcycle and for what a fun guy he was.
I am so glad to know he had his daughter to support him and be there for him at the end.
Mia, you sound like a great young lady and I am sure you will make him proud!

In honor of Douglas, Kim Crowder lit a candle.
Mia you are such a strong mature young woman, you did the right thing for your father. You were there for him every single day! He loved You (and Vickie doodles) more than anything in the world!!
Hanson might be a nice facility, my grandmother was there too, but she wanted to go home for her last days and be with her family and we honored her wishes. I know your Daddy wanted you to take him home at the end too... He knows you did everything you could to get him back home. He knows you tried sweetheart! And God knows you tried too!
Doug was such a sweet guy, always coming to pick up his favorite boy after work, he would always pop in to make us laugh and then take his little buddy home to throw a steak on the grill for himself and Vick! He was always low key at the ball field unlike us crazy moms, he would sneak in at the end of the fence to watch you pitch.. you were the greatest joy of his life Mia.
Doug you will be greatly missed by everyone. You were truly a Class act!
RIP Doug ??
