It has been many years since I left St. Joe and have lost contact with much of my extended family. Please except my sincerest condolences. My thoughts and prayers go out to you all. My mom, Hertha Fege Kroschel was a cousin to Louise and my grandmother, Emma Buchholz Fege was Alvina's sister. I went to school with Al.

Just read Louise's obituary on line. Elmer and Louise were friends with my parents and my mom kept in touch with her until she passed away in 2012. They all had many good times together. May God's Peace and Love be with all of you. My sympathy, Sue Wittig Lake.

Oh, Louise, we will miss you! We enjoyed your company for the time you were roommates with Swanny! We enjoyed hearing the stories of your life and your wit and attitude towards living! I will miss hearing you say " well, I guess I'm here for another day" as you woke up in the morning. You always made us smile and you were always so grateful for any help or focus sent your way. Your smile was an inspiration to us all. Our lives are a little bit richer for having known you! God bless you as you celebrate eternity and God bless those you left behind with the comfort of knowing there will be a joyous reunion in His time!!! With love, Cyndi Allen & Jorge Monges

A century plus – what a remarkable milestone. It has been some years since we have seen Mrs. Skibbe, but from periodic conversations with Al we have from time to time been given a glimpse of her welfare. What good and positive recollections I have of her and Mr. Skibbe. Those days are reflections of school years long ago. They were good and strong supporters of the school and its ancillary programs. May each of you children and your family members also enjoy the good and warming recollections of your own. May you find peace and comfort in knowing where she has gone to join Elmer and her Savior. May the God of all comfort and peace be with you each and every one. God’s blessings and care.
