We encourage you to share your most beloved memories of Mary here, so that the family and other loved ones can always see it. Share your favorite stories or comment on those shared by others.
To Mary's children, brother Eddie, and the entire Pruitt family, I know all of you will miss her deeply. I pray that we think of the great celebration she is having in Heaven with the many who left before her. She lived a long blessed life! Hold on to God's unchanging hand during this time of grief, he will keep each and everyone of you.

First of all I would like to say to all my cousins: Johnny Prewitt, Doretha Prewitt, Denise Prewitt-Goolsby, Felecia Prewitt-Blanks, Brenda Prewitt-Lark, Pamela Prewitt-Jackson, LaDonne Prewitt-Mingo is that I love you all very much and I shall continue to love you guys forever with all my heart, soul and mind. Aunt Mary meant a whole lot to me. I used to always visit her at her home when I was spending the night over Grandma Ossie's house or at Auntie Phyllis and Uncle Eddie's house. She was a special kind of Aunt and I am gonna miss and love her very much, but now she is in heaven looking down on us with all of God's angels surrounding her. Just remember weeping may endure for a night but Joy wondrous Joy cometh in the morning. We all loved her very, very much and hate to see her go, but just like I said she is with the Lord. All my love goes to Aunt Mary and all the rest of my family members near and far away.

Dear Brenda and Lamarr, Death did not have the final word! Jesus did! Jesus said, I am the resurrection and the life. He who believes in me, though he shall die, yet shall he live! Mary is more alive today with Jesus than she ever was here on earth. His word also says, "We grieve, but not as those who have no hope!" God understands our grief--it is not a lack of faith--it is the reality of our earthly loss--and yet we thank God for the sure hope of the resurrection. Our tears are flowing with yours! Please feels our hugs and love and prayers for you during these days. We Love You! Bob and Sherry

May God's healing grace and your faith help you through this difficult time. I pray the love of God enfolds you during your time of grief. Remember death leaves a heartache no one can heal, LOVE leaves a memory no one can steal. You will find comfort in knowing that your lives have been enriched by having shared you mom’s love; she’s still close by, she’s in your heart forever. Be blessed and keep the faith.

When Jesus saw her weeping, and the Jews who came along with her also weeping, he was deeply moved in spirit and troubled... Jesus wept. (John 11:33, 35) Other people can comfort and console us in our grief. They can be part of the healing, but only after all the waves of mourning have washed through our lives. Comfort can come only after we accept death as a reality... and only as Jesus brings us to the realization that physical death is not the end, Death is not the extinguishing of the light - it is the putting out of the lamp becuase the dawn has come. Mary Prewitt (your Mom) is now in a better place. The pleasures of earth cannot be compared to the joys of heaven. Revelation 21: 4-11. Brenda, my prayers continue to be with you and your family. Love, Treopia and family.

With Sincere Sympathy, We. the Barnes/Ferguson family wish to extend our upmost Respect & Condolenses to the Prewitt/Burton Family! I personally Love, Admire and Respect Mrs. Prewittfor her Kind & Loving Demeaner. She was a cornerstone in our community. She would do unexpected acts of Kindness & You just Knew she was Genuinely Concerned...You just Knew it! I remember times when her son John and I would be outside shooting baskets (or cans) hours upon hours, she would call John and I inside over my reluctness she would insist I have a meal with them. Usually she'd win out and I'd be Grateful she did! Such a Beautiful Lady and equally beautiful Cook! Mary was more than a neighbor, she was "Just Like Family". Always a word or two of Kindness, something Uplifting and Joyful. I'll always remember her "Bubbly" Personality. To All her Children, I feel your Great Loss...She is with Our Father now...He Loves her Most! Just remember We All will Share Our Love for Her. On behalf of the Barnes and Ferguson Family... With Love, Charles Barnes
