Jim Mitchell was such a wonderful man and a great friend of my dad's - I suppose they're catching up, giving each other a hard time somewhere right now...I'm sorry for your loss.

Now that Uncle James' sojourn in this life has come to a close, although I sorrow I know his soul is at rest in the presence of the Lord Jesus. Uncle James was the biggest little man I have known and I have to say that my father-his older brother-loved him dearly. To Aunt Grace especially, Larry and Craig and extended family you are all in my prayers. Grace and Peace in the Lord Jesus.

Sorry to hear of Jim's passing. I know he was an excellent basketball player because I played on the same team with him. He was a gentleman on the basketball court and more important he was a gentleman off the basketball court. He will be sorely missed.

Dear Mrs. Mitchell, Larry, Ginny and other Mitchell family members, I knew Mr. Mitchell my entire childhood and amired his wonderful humor, dedication to work and family. I have a very old photo of him and my father riding horses together. They seemed to share a special bond. It was a pleasure to know him and especially to see the deep love that he and his dear wife, Grace, had. My sincerest sympathy. Dr.Betty Brown-Chappell your friend and former neighbor

To: Aunt Grace, Larry, Craig, Ginny, Tina Uncle James was such a wonderful uncle to me, by brother, and my sisters. He is at rest now, but wasn’t that a good run! Uncle James helped and inspired so many people inside and outside of the family. He set the bar high for faith in God; and love and service to family, friends, and neighbors. Uncle James will be missed, and he will always be in our hearts.
