To the Overhuel Family: I will never forget listening to Shirley sing and laugh with my mom at The Riverbend Boat Club. She was a beautiful spirit inside and out. We felt blessed to visit with her in July.

Shirley (Shirt) was always, Mrs. Overhuel to me...what a beautiful and kind woman she was. Stub (Arthur) and I have been friends for over 50 years. Mrs. Overhuel was always so gracious and greeted me with that huge smile...even when Stub and I would cause her some grief during our teenage years..she would support us. Her family is loved by me and I will never forget how fortunate I was to have known Ray and Shirt...they both made me feel like a son. May God bless the family, and help them during the grieving process...then all the wonderful memories will replace the sadness felt now..and last their lifetimes.

Thank you all.....Kathy, Kris, Deege and Stub for sharing you mom with me....she was my 2nd mom (and on certain days, my favorite mom....she never seemed to find out as much as my mom....or was just alot nicer about it). She always treated me as a member of the family...As Kathy and I talked about, we were so lucky to have had 2 such great moms, but unfortunately, lost them both in the same year. So many great memories...driving us to Lake Cora many, many times....Deege, I still don't know how you and Bob put up with us. Squeaky, the coati mundi, stealing the cupcakes and Kimmy Shay's birthday party. Watching our dance routines for hours on end. And, her dried beef gravy! I will always love her and cherish the memories.
