I am sad that I cannot be there to join with the family but will always have my memories with Aunt Dorothy as a child and an adult when my own kids got to know Aunt Dorothy (great-great!). Sleeping on the back porch listening to the waves, Doritos with cheese melted on them. My kids remember trips to the beach, smores, applesauce and playing on the rope swing. She made all these memories so special and loved us all dearly. You will be missed and always loved.

Kathy, Bill, Julie, and family, As it always does these days, distance (Florida) precludes me from attending the services Friday, but all of you are in my thoughts. I was always treated like gold by your mom (and by all of you too), and I have many fond memories. Rick

I saw Aunt Dottie several years ago at Chuck Wood's memorial service in Remus. I know she was having facial pain, but she was bubbly and cheerful. It was really good to talk with her. I wish I could attend the funeral but I cant get there from Texas this week. My regrets to the family. I would love to see Kathy again. Love, Ann McCann

Dearest Kathy, Bill & Deanna, Julie & AJ, We’re sending you our heartfelt condolences and share your grief as we have all loved and lost Dorothy. Needless to say, she was a very special lady to us all and a Second Mom to me. Our lives have been intertwined for so many years that it’s hard to express our feelings as friends or family. We’ll miss her fun-loving disposition, compassion, and loyal friendship. The memories we have extend over 46 years, from the house next door on Northshore , with an always open door, to those visits with her near the end. We’ll hold her in our hearts forever. Bill, I am so sorry to here of Dorothy’s passing. She was a great mom. I will never forget her kind, loving, smiling face. She was like a mom to all of us who knew her. When I would come over to your house, she always welcomed me as if I was family. She will always hold a special place in my heart. Take care. Todd

I know I am very late in posting this but I didn't quite know what to say at a time like this. I had the pleasure of enjoying Dorothy's wonderful attitude about life and many good time with her and her daughter-in-law Julie and grandson A.J. I drive or walk by her house now and feel an emptiness that she isn't sitting in her chair in the fron yard or taking a walk down the street. She is missed daily! Prayers to the family to help them get through this sad time.
