MaryAnn "Mom", Steve & Margi, JoAnn & Gary, and all the grandkids, Thinking of you all, and feeling the loss right along with you. I always considered Jack to be my second Dad. I loved him dearly. He had a great sense of humor and I always liked listening to his stories of him and my dad in school, and all of his other stories for that matter. MaryAnn, I have always felt just as comfortable in your home as I do in my own. You are a great family to be a part of and I will miss Jack greatly. What gives me some comfort right now, is thinking of Jack and Harold, hunting and fishing together up in Heaven. Love you all, you are in my thoughts and prayers.

I knew no nicer man than your husban and father. Working with him at Drenth's always made the day brighter. Even when things were going wrong he had a laugh and funny comment about it. So sorry for your loss.

Dear MaryAnn, Steve and JoAnn...I just recieved a phone call from Joe telling me that Jack had died and his funeral was this past Saturday. My brohters and I are so sorry for hearing the news and only wished we could have been in attendance for Jack's "going home" service on Saturday. We loved Jack...he was the greatest of role-models to each of us as we gre up in South Haven. I was happy to have time at Dad's funeral last month to visit about some of the old times...hunting with my dad, password games on Superior Street, and a few other great memories I'll always cherish about him. Now my dad's good and faithful friend is in heaven...nothing sad about that! We love you all and will be keeping you in our prayers!

Mary Ann, JoAnn and Steve, When I saw the email this morning regarding Jack's passing I couldnt believe it. I am so sorry we were not there. Where do I begin about such a great man? There are so many wonderful memories -- lifelong memories -- about Jack. Watching Jack and Dad and George together always brought a smile to my face. They were true friends and now are reunited in heaven -- shooting pool or telling deer hunting stories -- or maybe even building their own little "cabin in the sky". I will never forget the many, many hours in your basement watching those guys playing pool. And the command that they would deliver to me, "Joe, run upstairs and get three beers for three steers for three engineers!" I always remember Jack sitting in his chair with his TV tray enjoy his many meals you made -- and always with a Heinz Ketchup bottle right next to the plate! He did love his Ketchup! So many wonderful memories of everyone sitting around the kitchen table singing songs on Friday and Saturday evenings. I have been truly blessed to have known Jack my whole life. And truly blessed to visit with him last month, if not just for a few moments at South Haven Communitiy Hospital. He always made me laugh with his "blue eyes" comments and his great sense of humor. He was such a great role model in my life and I thank the Lord for Jack being such a significant part of my life. As I write this, tears are starting to come, but I know Jack is with Dad and he is without pain. I love you guys.

It brought great sadness to me when I read that Jack had passed. I work at the hospital and he was always such a pleasant smiling face every time I saw him. He could instantly brighten my day. What a wonderful man your family has lost. My prayers are with you during this time.

Aunt Mary Ann, Steve & Jo Ann, I was sad to hear about Uncle Jack. I am so thankful that I was able to visit with him my last two times home. He was happy to see me and we had good visits. I also wish I could have been there for his going home party. I want you to know you are all in my prayers and thoughts. Much love to all three of you and hope to see you one day soon. Love, Your Cousin Pam
