Renee, Dennis, Rick, Dawn and Ruby - our hearts are sad to know that Roy has been called to his Lord. He lived a loving, fun-filled, special life - you were all as lucky to have had him for so long as he was to have been able to be with you. God bless and keep you all - the memories will keep him with you. Love Pam and Ray

Ruby, Rick, Renee and families, 27 years ago we were newlyweds and moved in our home. Little did we know at the time that we would be so fortunate and blessed to have neighbors like Ruby and Roy. From our first night in our home until the present we have always felt like we had an extra set of parents across the street, always caring, sharing and visiting. Roy was one of a kind! His great smile, since of humor, caring demeanor, guidance, sharing and advice will be deeply missed by Cheryl, Justin, Tyler and I. The love he showed for his family was an example for us all. His passion for nature, his garden and animals was incredible. Every pet and animal in the neighborhood would always come find Roy knowing he had a treat and attention for them. Remarkably our dog Mia laid in our lawn yesterday looking across the street without gong over like she normally does with a lost look on her old face. She felt the loss like we all are. Roy touched all in came in connect with during his great life and now he has moved on to better place to keep spreading his grandeur. Our prayers and thoughts and love are with you all. Charlie, Cheryl, Justin & Tyler.

He was the best grandpa ever. I loved him so much. Everytime I went to grandma and grandpas I would go right in and sit right on his lap-no matter how old I was!!! :-) he always had his cough drops in his pocket and I would always go straight for a cough drop! Funny the little things I remember. he was a good man. Anyone that knew him already knows that. Hard worker-friendly-loved animals and he was so good to my grandma. He loved his cowboy books, guns, swimming with grandma, watching Judge Judy:-) and his pets, max, he loved that dog so much and if dogs go to heaven they r together again! -feeding the seagulls and ducks-everytime I go and do that I will be thinkin of grandpa. I LOVE AND MISS YOU SO MUCH GRANDPA. Rest in peace and we will see eachother again someday. I know u r watching over me in heaven.

Ruby and Family- We were truly blessed when we moved next door. Roy was more than just a neighbor, he was family. He took care of us. He was always there to lend a hand. He was our guardian watching and protecting our property. He would make sure if someone was lurking around they better be able to give Roy a reason for being there. He accepted Jenny as another grandchild. He was so proud of his family. It would beam as he told us of his and Ruby's travels with Rick, Dawn, Staci and Eric in the motor home. Or when he asked us if we saw his great grandchildren. I will certainly miss those whistles in the morning when I was getting in my car. I would look over and there was a wave and a smile to start my day. Or how he would scold Doug for mowing the part of the lawn that he always did. We will miss you Roy!!! All our love and prayers, Doug, Vickie and Jenny.

You are in my prayers. Mr. Olsen was a very friendly person. Whenever he came into city hall, he was always smiling, polite and courteous; the world needs more people like he was. I had the privledge of meeting and knowing him for a nice smiling person who had no problems or worries on his mind. May the LORD richly bless your family.

Ruby, Rick and Dawn, Renee and Denny, What wonderful memories I have of Roy. Ever since I was little I can remember him asking me if I wanted a piece of candy, he even asked me that one of the last times I saw him, and he was always telling Tom and I jokes, what a smile he had. He will be missed. We are praying that God will bring you comfort and lift you up in these difficult days. We are thinking of all your family and praying for you. Love, Carol and Tom

To the Olson family, Sorry to hear about Roy, he was one of my late Father's best friends, I knew Roy all my life, a finer man never existed. Always seemed to have a story to share. I dealt with Roy over the years at Central Auto, then Auto Value, and I always looked forward to seeing him. My father told stories of card games they shared along with arm wrestling tournaments (Dad always called him "Olee") he knew how to live life to the fullest, we should all be like more like that, also the fishing and hunting stories they told. He will be greatly missed by all. My condolence's to Roy's family from ours. Marty Pfaff
