Bernie was much of a mother figure to me. She and I enjoyed so many moments kidding about her being of Irish stock, and my being of English. She was a butterfly who spread joy wherever she alighted. I will miss her for ever Peter Hawkins

We love you Mom. We hope you are in heaven reading a good book knowing you can read anything you want. Pick the book on the highest shelf as we know your shoulder aches and all your pains are gone.

We will always cherish Bernadine's kindness and neighborly generosity... Over the years when we return to visit our Wahmhoff family just down the street -- we look forward to walking by the Gould farm house to say hello or to wave a greeting as we passed. Sending blessings & love to dear Sheldon & your family.

I don't think I ever saw Bernadine without a smile on her face. She is resting in the arms of Jesus now. My condolences to the whole Gould family, but especially to Shelly.

We are sending our sincere condonlences to the entire Gould and extended family. Bernie was such a wonderful person to be around. She always had a kind word and smile for everyone. Shelby and I feel so blessed to have such wonderful memories of Bernie during all our visits to Michigan over the last 11 years. We always feel like we are coming home and Bernie has become such a part of the family that we come to see. Her presence will be greatly missed. Heaven gained a wonderful angel this week. Our thoughts and prayers are with you all.

I came to know Bernie at the end of her life. I loved seeing the pictures of her earlier life. Though she changed physically over the years, she remained a beautiful woman to the end. She always had a lovely smile, even when she wasn't feeling her best. I loved her quiet sense of humour that slipped in when you weren't expecting it. I'm glad I got to know her.
