Dear Brian, I am so sorry to hear about Kathy. I wished I had known she was ill. I have SO much to thank her for. She took me camping, canoeing, and horseback riding when we were in Jr. High. It was an honor to have gone to school with her and have grown up with her. Mrs.Brumbaugh was one of the coolest teachers. There was no one else like her. I remeber she was so excited to teach the 7th grade science circiulum. Mrs.Brumbaugh was one of everyones favorite teachers. I hope her family is holding up okay, there are some students who are taking her loss very hard, along with all the teaching staff. Mrs. Brumbaugh was a wonderful teacher, friend to many, lover of science, and life. One of my favorite memories from her 6th grade science class (1996) was tapping a maple tree and learning the process of creating Maple Syrup. I'm so sorry to hear of her passing. My heart goes out to Kathy's family. In times like these, it's so easy to mourn and be sad. I find it's better, though, to remember how beautiful of a person Kathy was and how many lives she touched and forever changed. Mine is one of them. I'll always be grateful for the time I had with Kathy and the lessons she taught me--in the classroom at times, but mostly outside of it. I'm honored to have known such a wonderful woman and will miss her dearly.

I am sorry I'm so late with this message.I didn't know about Kathy leaving us so early. You only had to know her for a short time to realize she was truly special, she often visited my folks store mostly to buy perennials for her flower garden, always pleasant almost like a Ray of sunshine. I will miss her until we meet again..God bless her family.
