Aunt Laverne was such a great lady. I love her so and can't believe she is gone. I'll never forget all that she did for my parents. She was a giver...always willing to help in any way that she could wanting nothing in return. She loved her family with all her heart and was very proud of all of them. She's forever in my heart. Grandma was the most giving person I know. She gave in any way that she could. I am so happy that she could meet Isabelle and come to OK to visit us. She was a strong woman who lived through so much. I can only hope that I am a wonderful woman just like her and that I can raise my daughter to be as strong and giving as she was.

I'm happy I had the chance to visit Aunt LaVerne at Holland Hospital..a week ago Monday. She was in great spirits and so sharp! She told me that "she was truly blessed" with great kids and grandchildren. She went on to tell me of her daily schedule of visits and phone calls from her "kids." She showed me the cell phone log, cards and artwork from her grandchildren. She was so appreciative of her family.

Mrs. Bild was one of the finest people I have ever known! Always with a smile, a laugh and a good thing to say. It was my priviledge to be her neighbor for much of my life. I will truly miss her.

Aunt LaVerne welcomed me into the Doerr family over 20 years ago, meeting almost every August in South Haven for the Bild family reunion.
