Phil was always happy to reach out and assist when I was the new guy at work. This simple gesture on his part always meant a lot to me... I'm sorry that I never thanked him for it. To me he will always be remembered for his laugh and his many sayings! Rest in peace, Buddy. ~Steve

I recently became Phil's operation manager with the retirement of his former manager. I was just getting to know him and we visited in person last Friday in Detroit. We exchanged friendly barbs toward each other and I felt I was well on my way to making a new friend. I am so very sorry for your loss. Everyone I have talked to have good things to say about Phil. I regret the chance of not being able to get to get to know him more. God Bless, to Phil's family, as Phil said to me each time we ended a phone call.

Dear Jaleen/ I am so sorry to hear that you have lost your mate. I cannot tell you that I know what you are going through because I haven't lost a husband but with Michael's death part of my heart went with him and life will never be the same. We cannot do anything except believe in our Lord. He sees the whole picture and we can't. May God surround you and comfort you during this time and always. When you wake up in the middle of the night and can't call your friends, call on him. He is always there for you. Love, Terry

Such a sad loss, even though we hadn't seen each other in a long time, I still considered him my brother in-law and close friend. I will miss him. Rest in peace jack!

Phillip was my best friend, and we talked about things that no one else wanted to talk about, or was afraid to talk about. We enjoyed each others company and did most of state training together. Now that he is gone, the feeling of emptiness is overwhelming. The biggest compliment he paid me was calling me his brother. You will be missed, brother, more than you know.

Dear Family Life is a mystery to us all. God knew us before we were even conceived. We are not of this world. In John 14: Jesus said I come to prepare a place for you and I will come again to get you. Jesus has fulfilled his promise with our dear brother Jack. This will will hard for me, I will miss him dearly. God's blessings.

To Jaleen and the Keith family; I had the pleasure of meeting Phil at a conference in 2008 His wit, the dark glasses and his Hawaiian shirt he welcomed the new guy. I had the pleasure of attending a training season in Detroit, as usual Phil jovial self, taking the time to welcome the new hires and to offer his advice. He will be missed, but he will be remembered. Gerald Merrell

I am sorry to the Keith family for your loss. Phil and I hired in the state about the same time. He was always a " class act " and would do anything he could do to help a fellow vet. Phil was a great guy to know, and was not afraid to speak out if he seen somthing that wasn't right. I will miss Phil, and to you buddy " Semper Fi "

I worked with Phil through Michigan WORKS! in South Haven. Phil was a great guy and very passionate about his fellow Vet's. Each time Phil would come to work he would call to see if I needed anything before he came in; he was a nice guy. He'll definitely be missed. Jim

To the only Marine that I ever "punked" --and who didn't take a pound of flesh for the ribbing-- because I was "a girl": You will be sorely missed at our staff meetings and in this hard world. Thank you for carrying the torch of freedom and passing it on to the next in line. We will remember you-- and yours. PS. I promise not to pick up the golf balls on your fairway in Heaven, brother!
