You are all in my thoughts and prayers. Boots was such a special person and so devoted to the church and his God. I loved him as one my special church family. I am so thankful that he didn't have to suffer long.. My deepest sympathy. Marlene

Shortly, after I mover to South Haven in June, 1980, I began receiving Erdmann Haase's mail. He didn't live far from me, so it was understandable. i only talked to him a few times in all those years, but, I recsived a piece of his mail about a month ago, so we've had a rather strange but fun relationship for a long time. he'll be missed.

Charlie said when he was little Boots would always turn around before church and give him hard candy. Boots was a very special man so kind and caring. He had our deepest respect not only for the special person that he was but also because of his strong faith. He always had a Good Morning or a "Wie Gehts?" and a handshake on Sunday morning. He was a wonderful friend to Charlie's dad when he was in need of a friend. Our prayers and thoughts are with you and your family. We look forward to seeing him again. The Hinz family

"Boots" and his sister would always be my customers at work. I'm terribly sorry to hear of his passing. I enjoyed waiting on the both of them, and I'll miss him! *hugs to the family*

I was very sad to hear that "Boots" had passed away. I have fond memories of him when he worked for Henry Niffeneger at the S&H Beverage co. My grandfather, Richie Nelson, drove a beer truck and "Boots" worked the warehouse loading trucks. He was a very hardworking and nice man. He will be missed.
