It is with a heavy heart that I say goodbye to my Poppy Seed. He was an amazing man and I am blessed to have him as a father and role model. What a ride...87 years. Not too shabby but I would expect nothing less. I am very proud of him--he left nothing unsaid and no stone unturned. We had a special bond--we would walk or ride horses together and I would ask him questions and he would answer....unless it was too personal and then he would tell me to ask mother. Ha! I came up with real tough ones but he always found the answer and in those days we had no "google". He told the best stories which always started, "There was a little girl and the Ranger. They were riding in the jeep, rolled up the windows and the screens came up." I guess you had to be there but trust me it was funny. Here's to you dad--you are the best, the brighest and the proudest. Like no other. I miss you so.

Dad - I will miss you greatly and will think of you daily. I am so sad you are no longer with us, but relieved you are now longer having health issues as you were never sick and never wanted to be sick. I have a zillion fond memories--your taking us to Disney World in California --that was big stuff; your letting me bring home a pony in the back seat of our family car ---Mom was not thrilled, but we got that pony! I never would have completed law school without you (and Mom) having so much confidence in me. I know you and Mom worked hard to raise all of us and I appreciate it. Love you lots and miss you already. Rest in Peace. Loving, Vicki

My Dad was the best,he married my Mom. Thanks for everything I was given everything I wanted and needed. I use everyday skills you taught me. My to do list is just like yours, thanks Dad. Thanks for teaching me stick shift in my dream car and getting pulled over with you telling the police I was not or had not been drinking. Letting me do what I wanted even married a perfect man you adored after a hair cut:)I will miss your calls and storys. I will miss you at my table for meals and the herring with Aiden and the other great grandson's making faces. I was blessed having the time Dad with your Mother and Dad I never got her bread recipe but I have the memories. Thanks Dad for being you, I still have a to do list. Love and miss you so, Valerie

Please accept our sympathy for the passing of your dad. It must be time for pause and introspection. Our time on this earth is short, but he must've passed on to his son the philosphy of living life to its fullest, and sharing it with friends. God bless.

My condolences to Mr. Hedlund's immediate family, his wife Ruth, Art and my good friend Nancy. Mr. Hedlund and I shared the same birthday and more laughs than I can count. The greatest laugh was at my recent wedding reception when he shocked a complete stranger by casually suggesting that he expected me to become his son-in-law and "shack up" with his daughter. The stranger was left stunned and I was left with another wonderful memory of Eddie Hedlund. Rest in peace.

Nancy, Carolyn and Family, My condolences to you all. I know how hard it is to loose a father. I lost mine a year ago and my mother two years ago. It is not easy. But be there for one another, you will draw your strength from one another. Know he is in a good place and is at peace. And may the Good Lord wrap his arms around you and give you comfort. God Bless.
