My family's visits to Aunt Donnie and Uncle Frank's farm was a highlight of my summers growing up as a child. Aunt Donnie always made us feel like we were some kinda royal guests or something. That is a memory I will always cherish. I don't know how many times she must have just been sick of me asking her to make a blueberry pie. I think back and all my thoughts revolve around sitting at her living room dining table among all our families and sharing a meal. I'm sure the angels are leaning back in their chairs and smiling right now after eating about 7 or 8 of her world-famous tacos and washing it down with some of her homemade lemonade. :) I miss you, my favorite Aunt.

Donna & Frank were my favorite place to visit growing up the blueberry picking playing with Don was the best time. I saw Donna around two weeks ago on my motorcycle we visited for awhile on I'm glad I came by when I did, she was my mom's cousin and was a good friend to her and my dad. Frank too was great to be around. I don't think I'll be able to make it Sat.. So I'll leave you with this thought Family is all we really have so cherish each moment you spend with them. I love you all from my family to yours thanks for all the great times we had together. May God Bless us all Rusty Wilson

Dear Family, My childhood visits with Donnie and Frank were so much fun. We always found something to laugh about. I would come and spend a few days during blueberry season. I was "helping" with the blueberries. My blue tongue gave me away, so I really don't know how much help I was. Donnie's passing has left a hole in my heart and I want you all to know that you are in my thoughts and prayers. She will truly be missed.

Dear Donald and Ginny, I am very sorry to hear of the passing of your Mother. I cared very deeply for her and in a way she and your Dad seemed like a members of the Brown family too. There are so many wonderful memories that I have of her: Young and very beautiful as she cared for you and went about her errands in our community; laughing with a deep chortle at something that one of my parents said or did; calm in the face of my own childhood concerns; standing up as a Godparent for my brother, Daniel. I also treasure the time she and your Dad spent at my baby shower more than 30 years ago. Last fall I visited with your Mom and she told me that she was adjusting to life without your Dad but that she did miss his taking care of the "outside work." I am sure they are together taking care of eternity now. Bless her soul and all who loved and admired her.

I have known Donnie and the Slocum family for as long as I can remember and I was deeply saddened to learn of her death. Donnie always had such a sweet spirit and I know she will be missed by her family and friends. It was at Donnie's house that I first learned what tacos were and how to eat them. I've been a taco fan ever since. May you rest in peace Donnie. I will keep the family in my prayers and keep the memory of Donnie in my heart.

Ginny, Donald, and the whole family- we are so sad Aunt Donnie is no longer with us. We have wonderful summer and Christmastime memories visiting together, especially sleeping in the "Cloud Nine" bedroom, picking blueberries, and chatting way into the wee hours of the morning with lots of laughter! We will miss her fun, most loving and caring spirit for sure. Take care and know you all are in our hearts and mind always. Love to you all.

I remember being a preschooler, Donna giving me milk and cookies while waiting for my parents. I felt special, loved and affirmed. Throughout my life whenever I stopped by, Donna's graciousness, much like Frank's encouragement was always there. I'm sure she is celebrating being in the presence of Jesus in a more full way and I am glad for her, but I miss her. I am very grateful I had the chance to know her and her family. My thoughts are with them all.

Dear Ginny, Donald and all of your family and friends. Even though I was not present for Donna's service because I live in Barstow, California, I was there in spirit. Ginny was kind enough to notify my daughter, Dawn Gordon and myself of Donna's passing. How greatfull we are for that. Many years ago when my husband, our family and I lived in the Bangor, Michigan area we were thankful Frank and Donna were part of our lives. They were very busy operating the laudromat and caring for the blueberry plantation. However, they always had time for family and friends and made one feel so welcome. We share your sorrow and grief in the passing of your dear Mother. May God bless and strengthen you in days to come. Love & Prayers, Beverly & Dawn Gordon
