Becky & Family, Steve & I are deeply saddened to hear of Don's passing. All the years working with Don I gained alot of knowledge from him both professionally & personally. Don was an extremely dedicated worker and was greatly respected by his peers & patients alike throughout his career at SHCH. His soft spoken manner was a delight to be around & hear his wonderful stories. Don will be greatly missed but never forgotten.

I worked with Don for a few years before he retired @ SHCH. He was a great teacher and a special person to be around. He always had a smile and a kind word for everyone. I also have some of his artwork in my home that I will treasure for many years to come. Don will me missed by everyone that knew him. God Bless your family, our prayers are with you.

To the Hyun family, Don was a dear and much loved friend.... to not only me, but my whole family. He knew me when I was a little kid and then took a huge chance on hiring me at the hospital when I first got out of X-ray school. He took me right under his wing and taught me so much...........not just about X-ray, but about life and how to be a better person. He always went the extra mile, for his employees and his patients. He was a mentor, a friend and like a Father to me so many times in my career at the hospital. I remember him taking care of my grandmothers' when they were ill in the 70's and 80's and anyone in my family who needed care.........he was always there. My first baby, Katie, had kidney problems and he found it right away on the ultrasound, and then continued to take extra care of me that whole pregnancy........he was such a comfort and a Godsend in my early 20's when I thought I knew everything and really knew nothing. He put up with a lot from us young and inexperienced X-ray techs. He was probably laughing to himself all the time about the way we all acted! He always took it in stride! I will always cherish having the privilege of knowing Don and having him for my first boss........and more, for my friend. I will always hold him dearly in my heart and will remember all that he taught me. He is cherished and remembered...........always! Nancy Adkin

To Don's Family, Working with Don was such a pleasure, he always took that few extra minutes with patients, and could tell when anything was amiss--and would follow through on it. His advice and expertise were valued by doctors and nurses alike. I'm so sorry to hear of his passing. Lori Lipari, R.N.

I will never forget Don. He performed the very first ultrasound I had when my husband and I learned we were going to be first time parents in early 1998. He made us feel so comfortable and was so very friendly and so caring. A wonderful man with a great smile and a heart of gold. He will certainly be missed. Prayers to you Don, and to your family, and all of those hearts (and belly's) that you touched.

I am oh so sorry for your loss of husband, father, and grandfather. I just read the news in the paper today. He was such a kind and gentle man. Always greeting me at the hospital or elsewhere with concern for me and always asked "how your husband"? As you know my late husband Art and I especially loved his daughters' Kim and Kris. My sincere sympathy to you, Becky, and all the family. I will be sending a memorial to Hospice in his memory. Lovingly, Lee Niffenegger

To the Doohoon family, Please accept my deepest condolenances over your loss. Don and I worked together many years ago. I have only the fondest regards for him professionally and the highest regards for him personally. Even though time will ease the pain, may the joy of the memories he has left behind quickly dull the heartache his loss has brought. Sincerely Margaret Begel- South Haven, Michigan

I ws in South Haven caring for my 92y/o mother. I was just thinking about looking up my old friend Don, thinking about his golf and our secret concerning one of the twins and the "message in the bottle escapade". He will be missed.
