Words cannot express my sorry at Bob's passing. He was a wonderful husband, father, and grandfather with a great sense of humor! I will miss him greatly. Nancy, I'm here for ya girlfriend. God is with you ..know that..and that Bob is up there having a great golf game with his friends! Knowing him, he's probably getting a golf course together and the greens ready for play. Blessing to you and your family. Love you girlfriend-I'll be here whenever you need me! Diane

Nancy, Tom and family, We were so saddened and shocked to hear of Bob's death. The Whitten family and the SH Country Club hold a special place in our hearts since that is where we began our relationship 27 years ago, being "set up" on the Monday Night's Couple League. Diane always felt bad that she stole Margaret Teske's partner. We tried to share our love of golf with our boys as they grew up, spending many hours on the course. In earlier years, the boys seemed more interested in playing in the creek on #6 than golfing. As they began to enjoy the game more, Bob was always good to them when they'd come out to play. We will always remember that. We are sorry we are not able to be there for the services for Bob, we are flying to Boston tonight to see our son, Joe. You are and will continue to be in our thoughts and prayers. God bless you.

Nancy&Family~ It feels a life-time that I have known Bob, so many great times at the club and as many if not more at our shop over the years. Always a minute to spare to help with a problem swing and a laugh to make you smile all day. Dawn and I were enjoying our get-a-way in Kentucky this week to celebrate our 6th anniversary and received a call immediately of the shocking news. We will miss our dear friend as we continue to feel blessed in him being such an important part on our wedding day, Bob donated the club for our reception that special day as a wedding gift from him. Thank you Bob for being so dear to our family and in your friendship. Nancy & family, we extend our deepest sympathy, Allan & Dawn Ridley

Nancy: My heart goes out to you at this time of your sorrow. I know you will miss Bob very much. We all hope to see him during the resurrection as mentioned by Jesus at John 5:28, 29 where it reads: "...all those in the memorial tombs will hear his (Jesus') voice and come out..." Nancy, For so many years, Bob and the SH Golf Club have been a part of our lives and our families. For the better part of the last 19 years, we have held our family tournament at SHGC. Each year we looked forward to seeing Bob. He always made us feel welcomed. He contributed in more ways than one to all of our abilities and to our love of the game. He will be sadly missed. The Sylvester Szymczak Open will not be the same without him. Our prayers are with you as you mourn his passing. Sincerely, SS Open Committee (Casey, Allison and all the Kids and Grandkids)

Dear Nancy..we were so sorry to hear of Bob's death. I have so many good memories growing up of being at the golf club with my folks. Denny and I will always remember fondly our wedding reception there 28 years ago! I know my Dad and Mom had lots of great times there. It was so special when Bob let my brother and I plant some flowers at the golf course when my folks passed away. The memories are all good ones. Take care. Kathy Shanley Petfield

My condolences to the entire family. While I remember Bob I was friends with Donna for our teenage years as our summer cottage was directly behind theirs. Their home was always warm and fun-loving.

Dear Nancy, My heart aches for you and your family..Bob was always so kind to me and my family. He always greeted me warmly as I entered the golf course. I will always remember, the kindness he displayed when I entered the golf shop for the first time after I lost Craig. He gave me a warm hug and gave me the keys to a cart and let me drive around the course which just so happened to be on our 35th anniversary. I am sure Bob, Robby and Craig are sharing stories about their best rounds. Rest easy my friend and be assured the "boys" are ok in the hands of our "Father"...Love and prayers, Donna
