Please accept my condolences on the loss of Virginia. She lived around the corner from us for many-many years and as kids, we used to visit her often and sit on her front porch swing which I believe still sits there. As of last year, I still see her taking her long walks or even riding her bike near the beaches here. I remember her as a very humerous and joyous individual, always had that beautiful smile. God has 1 of the BEST now. I know I will miss seeing her around as I have for many-many years. May God comfort you and be with you during this time. I hate to see her go!!!!!! She was a kind, caring soul.

I will always remember growing up next door to Mrs. Kick, she was one of the most intelligent women I know. I remember as a kid sitting on her porch swing and swinging as high as it would go!!! My mom and her were good friends and I remember them taking walks together and the wonderful fresh smell of her laundry drying on the clothes line. What a wonderful lady!!! Kick family please know that I am thinking about you today just in case I cannot make it up there. I know you will miss your mom as I do mine, but I have a feeling they will be taking a long overdue walk and sharing a nice conversation together in heaven. God Bless Deana

Kate and family, I'm sorry to hear about your mother. I crossed paths with her just about every day on my way home from work. I always drive down to the south beach and up water street to get home. That's when I'd see her. I believe your mother and my aunt Doris Haines are now walking down another water street to watch a beautiful sunset together. GOD bless you and yours. Rob Van Wynen

Kick Family, I've lived in the same neighborhood as Mrs. Kick since I was 2 years old. I'd always ride my bike around the block & she'd say hi & wave everytime! I'd see her walking all over town in her Cubs jacket. I've picked her up quit a few times & gave her a ride home when she was walking in the winter. She made me cold just looking at her walking in the winter! What a wonderful woman & I'm glad I got to enjoy her for 35 years of my life. So sorry for you loss.
