As a child I remember Gordon teasing me and I think I remember that he liked his chocolate chip cookies to be large. I remember my mother saying she couldn't cook for Gordon, because he wouldn't eat anything with onions or walnuts. I agree with my mother. Anything and everything must have walnuts and/or onions in it. I also remember Gordon and Betty driving three hours to Mt. Pleasant to get me when my mother passed. I wish Gordon a speedy trip to our heaven. Love to Betty, Kenny, Karen and family. I have fond memories. Sandie

To the entire Dykstra family, I fondly remember Gordon "Grumpy" telling me get out his chair and not to change the channel on the TV. He always had a good story to tell us truly loved his family.

Karen ~ I was very sad to hear about your Dad. Mine passed away on 8/26/08 and I still cry everyday. But God gives us the strength to go on and to hold the "happy" memories in our hearts forever. I am glad you are there for your Mom. They aren't as strong as they pretend to be! God Bless you, Karin
